Agnes Chan
Agnes started her singing career at the age of 14, since then she has sold more than 10,000,000 albums and CDs in Asia and achieved more than 50 gold and platinum records and CDs in Hong Kong and Japan. She is now Japanese Crown Records contract singer, a composer of the Watanabe Music Production Company. She has published 108 books in Japanese, English and Chinese, including best sellers: We all live in this world (a series of 4 books) and 50 education methods, I sent three sons to Stanford.
Also an educator, Agnes got her PhD in Education from the Stanford University. Specialises in international communication, gender, international relations, human rights, children's issues and educational research, she is now Visiting professor of Osaka University of Economics and also Honorary Advisor to Metropolitan University of Hong Kong, previously she served as teacher and professor in various institutions and universities, including Kyoei University and Hong Kong Baptist University.
Regarded as a social opinion leader, Agnes serves as UNICEF Japan Committee Goodwill Ambassador (since 1998) and Japan Cancer Society Goodwill Ambassador (since 2008) and Hong Kong Goodwill Ambassador in Japan (since 2001). She has received various awards in recognition of her contributions in public service and culture, including the Order of the Rising Sun, Hiroshima University Pestalozzi Education Award and IYY World Peace Special Award.
